Health department announces additional COVID-19 vaccine appointments

The Beaufort County Health Department announced on Friday evening the addition of 175 COVID-19 vaccine appointments to next week’s schedule, following the arrival of an equal amount of additional Moderna vaccine doses.

The arrival of additional doses created 115 new appointment slots for Wednesday, Jan. 20; 30 new appointments for Thursday, Jan. 21; and 30 more appointments on Friday, Jan. 22. The health department’s vaccine scheduling services will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Eligible individuals interested in receiving the vaccine will be able to make appointments ONLINE or by phone (252-940-6150).

The new appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first served basis, and they are expected to fill up quickly. Everyone ages 65 and older is currently eligible to receive the vaccine.
