Advertisements of Washington past living in the present

The walls of buildings throughout Washington’s historic downtown are covered in stories of the past. Flaking and faded paint advertisements on worn bricks allow us an insight in the lives of Washingtonians from years past, dating all the way back to the early 1990s. While some of these advertisements are difficult to make out what exactly is being advertised, their impact is lasting. These ads are one of the many ways we can see just how far Washington had come. With the completion of the new streetscape, Washington continues to progress forward while also remaining a town dedicated to tradition and the preservation of our history.
