The Beaufort County Republican Party has announced that it will kick off the new election cycle with precinct meetings on March 6 at Southern Acres, an event venue located at 3889 N.C. Highway 92 in Bath.

All registered Republicans can participate. The day will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., each precinct will meet individually to elect officers and select delegates and alternates for the county convention that will take place later that afternoon.

The county convention will meet in the same place. Registration for the convention will begin at noon, and the fee is $5 per person.

“Convention business will include the election of officers and selection of delegates and alternates to the district and state Republican conventions,” a press release reads. “Also, the convention will adopt a Plan of Organization for the 2021-2022 election cycle.”
